Photograph of Mt. Hamilton Stage Co. at Lick Observatory, ca. 1890. The stage transported thousands of tourists to the Lick Observatory every year. The 28 mile winding road was three and a half to four hours ride each way. The dome on the left houses a 12-inch refracting telescope.
