The exact date of this letter case is unknown, but it is a well-established fact that is is over 100 yrs. old & is the very box that Stephen F. Austin & Colonel Houston used in their day. The first postmaster was their grandmother of Mr. W.J. Fredrick who is 73 yrs. is the present postmaster, who is the grandson of the first postmistress. #8
