Description
The Subversive Church, November 1969, newsletter providing updates on church activities, including the move to 2389 Oregon. Richard York writes, "When we were just a street service ministry, Free Church had little trouble explaining itself to the larger Berkeley and church community. But service without liberation was the very thing wrong with the colonial missions of a now-dead era. Free church is now more than that: it is trying to be the celebration, serving, acting, liberating Church of Jesus our Liberator. But now, it seems, we are hard to understand." (page 1)
