Description
EARLY-1900s AMADOR VALLEY HOTEL. This is the Amador Valley Hotel as it looked before burning down in a fire in 1912. Built by John Green in 1862, it served the needs of travelers when stagecoach drivers stopped to water their horses. In 1873, the hotel fell under the proprietorship of William and Ellen Tehan. After the hotel was rebuilt in 1913, it became known as the Reimers Hotel, under the proprietorship of Claus Reimers. On verso of postcard: Amador Valley Hotel, Dublin Corral, Bonde Hotel, early 1900. Page 50, Image of America : Dublin, by Mike Lynch and the Dublin Heritage Center.
