N. W. view of the Rafael Peralta adobe on Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, 1936. Crumbled roof and adobe walls are visible. A description of this adobe includes: "The house faces the north and the river and looks across the stream to the site of the big Bernardo Yorba ranch house. The roof is of shingles with roof and attic timbers of old-fashioned lumber. This adobe was built by Rafael Peralta, son of Juan Pablo Peralta I about 1850..." This adobe was located in the Santa Ana River Canyon on the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana.
