Written on back of photograph with various names of figures included in photo, as well as "Joe Collings Quote 'Harness Shop where Joe Hurst is today / Casson bought this property in 1916 & / built new building on it.'" and "Rec'd from Edward Backs 5-7-69"

Anaheim Truck and Transfer Company, located at 120 West Center Street (later Lincoln Ave.), Anaheim; in celebration of the founding of the Anaheim Colony 57 years earlier, the Anaheim Truck and Transfer Company is decorated with American flags and stars and stripes bunting for Anaheim Pioneer Week, 1914; descendants of Anaheim's pioneers celebrated Pioneer Week, a precursor to Anaheim's famed Halloween Festival, in the fall because they considered the Mother Colony was founded when the 1,865-acre tract was deeded to the Los Angeles Vineyard Society; image shows six men, indentified from left to right as Frank McLieb, Herman Stock (founder of Anaheim Truck & Transfer Co.), Charlie Conliffe (bricklayer), Richard Dugdale (secretary of A.T.T.C), Joe Collings (agent for Wells Fargo Express), and Bert Kern (bicycle shop), standing in front of the Harness Shop and Anaheim Truck and Transfer Company building; signage in windows reads "SEE / ELIZABETH [...illeg.] / FAIR GROUNDS" and a pennant with "MEET ME AT THE CARNIVAL / PIONEER WEEK / OCTOBER 27th - 31st, 1914", "[HAR]NESS SHOP over doorway, and "[ANAH]EIM TRUCK & TRANSFER CO.", "Wells / Fargo & Co. / Express" and "Wells Fargo & Co. / Money Orders Sold Here"
