The two men are looking down on the Baltimore Park subdivision of Larkspur from atop Palm Hill, also in Larkspur. The Northwestern Pacific Railroad tracks occupy the foreground at the base of the hill. Monte Vista Avenue runs left to right across the center of the picture.
