Portrait of John Gottlieb Woelke, a Chicago restauranteur, moved to Anaheim in 1894 and built a Queen Anne style house at 520 West Center Street (now Lincoln Ave.) at Palm Street (now Harbor Blvd.); he traded the house for the Argyle Hotel in Los Angeles circa 1905; image shows a bust-length view of Woelke with mustache and goatee, wearing a dark suit with a patterned tie.
