Description
Part of York's job included speaking about Free Church activities to supporting churches. Among the challenges in 1967 for the Free Church were the number of transient hippies, numerous underage runaways and psychedelic overdoses. York adopted a street ministry model. The church set up a tripping center, collected resource information to assist transients, solicited for crashpads, and provided help for runaways.
