Description
Section of a stem of a plant called shepherd's purse taken with an electron microscope and magnified 8000 times. The cell contains vacuoles (clear areas which are membrane bounded, a plastid with thylakoid membranes, and several mitochondria (small roundish organelles with internal membranes).
