Rimpau, Fire Chief of Anaheim's Confidence Fire Company Number 1; image shows full-length view of Mr. Rimpau wearing his fireman's uniform, marked with a "C" encircling the number "1" on his hat and shirt, holding a pewter speaking trumpet in his right hand and a fireman's ax in his left; stove and bucket (one of the 24 leather fire buckets made by the city of Anaheim) visible at far right, clay urn with plant at far left, with painted trees on backdrop visible in background; portrait was the first taken of an Anaheim fire chief in uniform.
