Van der Veer, who served as a teacher and principal in both the Anaheim elementary and high schools; daughter Janey also was a teacher in Anaheim; image shows Nora leaning against a chair, wearing a white dress with lace accents at collar and wrists and wire-rimmed glasses; five year old Janey is seated on the arm of the chair, wearing a white dress, stockings and ribbons in her hair.
