Description
Color slide of the La Paz Bandidos banner being carried by two colorguard girls during the Christmas Parade in Mission Viejo, California in 1976. The girls are wearing the colorguard uniform of La Paz Intermediate School; it is a red and gold skirt with a red and gold sweater over a white collared shirt. The sweater has a red clef symbol on the chest. The girls are also wearing white gloves, red bobby socks, and red and white saddle shoes. The banner reads "La Paz Bandidos" in red letters on a gold background. There is also a cartoon figure of a "bandido" on the banner; he is wearing a mix between a sombrero and a cowboy hat, a large moustache, ammunition cartridges across his chest, and gun holsters on his belt. Parade spectators are sitting on the curb and standing on the sidewalk in the background. On the frame of the slide is a label that reads, "76-022, Frame 017."
