Old Maizeland School (Rivera School), California Historical Landmark 729, September 1, 1971. Wooden building is visible with a sign that reads: Rivera School. Trees are visible in the area with what seems to be a plaque to the right of the entrance to the building. This was a one-room schoolhouse where pioneer children were taught reading, writing and arithmetic. The school building was constructed in 1868 in the Rivera School District and later moved to Knott's Berry Farm for preservation purposes.
