Photograph of the Society Women's Slum Tour participants lunching with Los Angeles Mayor Bowron at the Aliso Village Nursery School. Mayor Bowron is pictured fourth from the left, with Miss Barbara Rosien standing next to him wearing the "housing hat". City Housing Authority Director Howard Holtzendorff is pictured sixth from the left and seated next to him is Nicola Giulii, Chairman of the City Housing Authority. Aliso Village was a public housing development constructed under the 1937 Housing Act that was completed in December 1942.
