This 14 page representative issue of the "Heart Mountain Sentinel" newspaper published on December 18, 1943 and includes headlines such as "Biddle Has 'Grave Doubt' of Evacuation's Legality," "Captain Martin Inspects Center for Japanese," "Evacuees of Draft Age Subject to Selective Service Regulations," and "Minister Warns Against Passing of Anti-Japanese Legislations." The issue includes eight pages in English and six-page Japanese language version titled H¯ato Maunten senchineru. This newspaper was published at weekly intervals with an objective to inform the internees about pertinent political events as well as to provide a forum for internees to express their viewpoints through sections like 'Letters to the Editor.' It also includes tidbits on local sports and social events. Each issue comes with a Japanese Edition as well. Editors are W. Hosakawa (1942-10-24 to 1943-10-16) and H.
