East view of the Koenig Winery-Gemmill Adobe in Anaheim located on Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, 1936. A man stands outside and in front of the two story structure. Doorways and windows are visible as well as the landscaping. In Anaheim, the adobes were built by German-Americans after they settled there in 1858. The Koenig Winery was located on the east side of Los Angeles Street at the end of Elm Street. Remodeling was done in 1922 and the adobe structure was subsequently sold to Mr. Gemmill. In 1936, parts of the walls of the winery still stood including the east wall (lower story with six french-door windows chopped out of the wall) and part of the south and north ends of the Gemmill Apartments. The Gemmill apartments were located on 401 South Claudina Street.
