Description
Workers tearing up the tacks for the Mount Tamalpais & Muir Woods Railroad, the crookedest railroad in the world. The photo was shot about a half mile down the grade from Summit Avenue horseshoe curve. The summit of Mount Tamalpais is visible in the background. Engine #8 is visible just ahead of the work train. Railroad tracks and ties are being loaded on a flat car.
