Description
Color slide of a Mission Viejo Post Office sign at La Paz Plaza in Mission Viejo, California. The sign replicates a postage stamp. The four edges of the rectangular shape resemble the white perforated edges of a stamp that has been ripped out of a page of stamps. The background of the sign is light blue. At the top of the sign is the word "post office" in all capital, gold letters. At the bottom of the sign is "Mission Viejo" in all lowercase, gold letters. Beneath "Mission Viejo" is "California" in all capital dark blue letters. In the center of the sign is a dark blue image of a mission; it has four arches, Spanish tile roof, a bell, and a cross. To the right of the mission is a dark blue vertical rectangle with a white "6" on it; to the right of the "6" is a dark blue "c" for cents symbol. The sign is hanging by two chains from a black wrought iron L-shaped bracket. On the frame of the slide is a label that reads "71-002, Frame 017," handwritten in brown ink is "J-1 #23," and stamped in black ink is "Jan 69H9."
