Writing on caption on front: "The El Monte Hotel, at foot of hill as you turn on San Jose Ave. Was burned down sometime in the Nineties." On the back: "New Alpine Hotel, Los Gatos, Cal. Where I spent my first few nights in Los Gatos. Mrs. F.W. Crandall."
