Wilson Elementary School on 1317 N. Baker Street. A Ford truck is parked in front of the school. The school was named for President Woodrow Wilson. It opened in 1930 but was razed in 1971 as it did not meet required earthquake standards. A new school building was constructed in 1971-1972; classroom space was generally below the level of the ground.
