Description
This marker was located in the Calvary Cemetery in San Diego which was a Catholic cemetery in use mainly from 1875 until 1919. In 1970 it was turned into Calvary Pioneer Memorial Park and most of the headstones were removed and buried at San Diego’s Mount Hope Cemetery. Cave and Isadora Couts were the well-known owners of Rancho Gaujome a famous Ranchero in San Diego County. Their headstone appears to be one of those kept by the Calvary Pioneer Memorial Park to commemorate the dead buried at the park when the rest of the headstones were sent to Mount Hope.
