Title
Barber and Peruke Maker’s Shop - Here in this free exhibition building, a 'perukemaker" wearing colonial attire patiently awaits the vanished trade of two centuries ago. The barber and wig-making profession of Pre-Revolutionary days is depicted through the original furnishings in the reconstructed shop next to the King's Arms Tavern even including iron tooth extractors and basins convenient for bloodletting. The shop is one that George Washington is believed to have patronized to have his wig fitted during his many stays in the city. Williamsburg, Virginia. Wigmaker Robert White tying bow on finished wig
