Reverse of photo written in German by Fred Pressel in ink, "Bild wann ich in Monrovia war 1891 und machte diesen Handels Wagen 1891 fur Mr. Latz. Mein Partner war Stroebel, welcher mit auf dem Bild steht, sowie auch Margareth und Kathi / Fred Pressel." Translated as "This picture shows when I was in Monrovia and made this trade wagon in 1891 for Mr. Latz. My partner was Stroebel who is also shown in the picture, as are Margarethe and Kathi." Fred Pressel's Wagon and Blacksmith Shop, located in Monrovia; image shows Fred Pressel and horse-drawn wagon in front of blacksmith shop, which he operated with Mr. Stroebel, with several figures standing near by; two little girls standing to left are indentified as Fred Pressel's two daughters, Margaret and the younger girl, Kate.
