This six page representative issue of the Manzanar Free Press published July 27, 1942 includes an occasional column entitled, "What the World is Saying" quoting letters to the editors from national newspapers concerning the Japanese American internment. The issue also includes articles with headlines such as ""Eleven Newcomers Arrive from Other Assembly Centers," "Mimeographed Japanese Supplement for Issei," and an editorial entitled "Let Us Have Faith," encouraging Nisei to have faith in democracy. The Manzanar Free Press was published 3 times a week and included news articles, editorials, personals, a sports section and ads from local merchants.
