Accession number: P965 Reverse side of postcard is ink-stamped by Anaheim post office with "May 17 1910" near the two-cent stamp, and penciled with message by Carl Vanetta to his sister, Zola Vanatta of Stanton, Ohio, with "Anaheim Calif / May 17, 1910 / Dear Sister this is the Main St. of City how do you like it. I will write this week / sure am well hope you are the same / Carl" Center Street (later Lincoln Ave.) looking west from Lemon Street, Anaheim; image shows the Commercial Hotel on the right, with several figures and horse-drawn wagons along Center Street, with telephone and power poles running down Center St. but no streetcar tracks (removed 1901); visible on left side of street is City Dye Works, Anaheim Truck and Transfer Company office and R. Wisser's Favorite Saloon; written in white text across bottom of image is "11457 CENTER STREET, ANAHEIM, CAL."
