Description
Living room of the Karnes residence on North Granada Drive, Orange, California, August, 2003. This 1964 Eichler home in the Fairhills tract was designed by Claude Oakland & Associates, using the OC584 floorplan. One wall has been painted the same shade of gray as the beams. Through a open pocket door is a view of Phillipine mahogany wall paneling covering the hallway doors and walls. View is through the atrium glass walls, towards the dining area. The exposed beam construction and board ceiling are visible, a typical Eichler feature. The furniture is in harmony with the architectural design.
