Hunting cabin known as the Howard Cottage, Bear Valley, Marin County, California, circa 1897. The Howard Cottage, errected on the property of Charles Webb Howard, owner of the Bear Valley (or W) Ranch (c.1870 until 1908) was rented as a summer retreat.
