Description
Photograph from Mary Tsuruko Dakusaku Tsukamoto's photograph collection. Chosei Taro Dakuzaka married Kame Yoshinaga in 1904. Chosei Taro Dakuzaka immigrated to the United States in 1904. His wife joined him 13 years later. Their six children are: Masako (remained in Japan), Ruth Haruko, Mary Tsuruko, Isabel Sumiko, Jean Yoshiko, Julia Toshiko, George Tomomitsu. Chosei Taro moved his family from San Francisco to the San Joaquin Valley and then to Florin in 1925 where they grew strawberries and grapes. The Dakuzaku family and extended family members were sent to the Jerome Relocation Center during the Internment period.
