Description
Beatriz Michelena and an unidentified actor in the California Motion Picture Corporation (CMPC) production of Rose of the Misty Pool, 1915. Based on a Bret Harte novel and adapted by Charles Kenyon, The Rose of the Misty Pool was directed by George E. Middleton and starred Beatriz Michelena, Harold Meade and Myrtle Newman. The final cut was two reels long and premiered on October 25, 1915. The CMPC was located in the Sun Valley neighborhood of San Rafael, Marin County, between 1914 and 1921. The studio produced 15 films, including Salomy Jane, which survives in its entirety in the Library of Congress archives.
