Description
A northbound four-car "L" train approaching the Buchanan Street stop in Albany after having descended from the western approach of the pile-bent bridge. Handwriting on verso: "Old New York El trains passing through Albany along S.P. right-of-way through village to old S.P. 9th St. trains track, thence to _____, then east to San Pablo, then south on San Pablo to old ?? station Emeryville." Alternate versions: Rail Transportation 20 (handwriting on verso: "Shipyard Railway foot of Buchanan"), 21 ("Shipyard Railway to Richmond from 40th St Oakland") Donated to the Albany Historical Society 2/10/85, by Albany Fire Department.
