Description
View of state highway 101 looking south from Tiburon Wye. The two lane road was completed in the late 1920s. The continuation south, which included the new Richardson Bridge, is under construction, so Sausalito-bound motorists went right (west) to connect with the old highway. Left is the road to Tiburon. The near right building is Avila's Richfield gasoline station. Avila lived next door. Wilkins dairy ranch buildings are across the road. The ranch's cows grazed on the hill above, today's Enchanted Knolls.
