Autobiography & Reminiscence of Pedro de Alcantara Braziliero de Saisset, San Francisco, 1904. The Society of California Pioneers
Pedro de Alcantara Brazileiro de Saisset was born in Paris, France on August 28, 1829, and moved to the United States in 1848. Soon after his arrival in New York he departed on the "Hector" for San Francisco, and arrived there on July 2, 1849. He was engaged in the business of real estate and insurance and merchandise transportation. He also incorporated the "Brush Electric Light Company". He was also a French Consular Agent and was given the title "Honorary Vice-Consul" by the French government
Autobiographies and Reminiscences of California Pioneers, p. 174-178, Vol. 7. This is a typed transcript, bound into a volume, of the member's autobiographical reminiscence created as an institutional record for the Society of California Pioneers. This reminiscence details the life of Pedro de Alcantara Brazileiro de Saisset, providing information regarding his life before arrival in California and after.
