Description
Color slide of the barbecue at the Marlboro Chuckwagon Corral being held at the Mission Viejo Stables in Mission Viejo, California in 1973. The Marlboro Chuckwagon Corral was organized by Philip Morris Company. The photograph shows a group of men, women, and children surrounding a man dressed in a cowboy hat, denim shirt, and denim pants who is holding a knife and a chunk of bread and is standing next to a skewered piece of meat hanging over a pit. In the background, one can see the red "boro" of the "Marlboro" sign, red and white flags, and red and white striped canopies. On the frame of the slide is a label that reads, "73-026, Frame 004," stamped next to that label is "1973."
