Description
Construction of Brand Park and landscaping development. A bulldozer is flattening the grounds that will become a parking lot in the foreground; El Miradero in the background has fencing around the exterior porches and entrances. A pick up truck can be faintly seen along the driveway. El Miradero was once the home of Leslie C. Brand until his death in 1925 and his wife, Mary Louise Brand, until her death in 1945. Brand deeded his home and property to the City of Glendale to be converted into a public library and park. Title supplied by cataloger.
