View of the Veranda of the Juan Avila adobe on the west side of Central Street in Capistrano Village. (spelled Abila in W. P. A. book.) Windows and entrance are visible. This was an adobe mansion and may have been 308 feet long, extending "at one time from the corner of Garden and Central Streets along Central to include the present remnant of the building." The house was either built or rebuilt from money made from cattle.
