Description
Plaza Market, located in 100 block of North Glassell Street, Orange, California, ca. 1920. Image shows interior view of the meat counter, with three men standing behind the counter and a fourth standing nearby. The Plaza Market was owned by Nelson T. Edwards (one of the founders of the First National Bank of Orange) and Jack Meehan (brother of Henry Meehan, Captain of the California Highway Patrol in Orange County during the 1930s and 40s.) The Plaza Market smoked their own hams, bacon and sausage in a smoke house in the basement.
