Description
City Council members Anja Miller and Art Montenegro tend the spit at the De Marco Buffalo Barbecue. These barbecues were a Brisbane tradition. In this photo, 7 buffaloes were on the spit. At an earlier barbecue on September 16, 1973, the event was cited in the Guinnes Book of World Records as nearly 4,500 people were served.There was a special BBQ constructed for the buffalo.
