Vacuum Pan Process. Making fine table salt two pans evaporating about 750 tons in 24 hrs. Inside of lower part of these big pans are copper tubes containing brine from salt well - & steam is forced in these pans & around the copper tubes & causes brine to evaporate. Salt then drops at bottom & from there is conveyed into "centrifryols" which dry the salt. This salt then goes into big rotating drier, double drums, then goes to packing room.
