Description
Glass plate, view negative, box 37, negative 583 Accession number: JH055 Interior view of the Palace Meat Market, located in Fullerton; owned by F.W. Fleischman, who also owned the Anaheim Slaughter House and lived 2 miles northwest of Anaheim (per the 1911 directory); image shows wood counters, with ornate moldings, along the left side and back of the room; visible on the counter at left are several pigs with apples in their mouths; various butcher tools are visible hanging on the left side wall, and a scale is visible on the back counter; different cuts of meat hang from hooks on the right side wall; floral decorations, perhaps for Easter or Christmas, cover the counters.
