Handwriting on verso: "The second (?) building for First Baptist Church of Albany was near Albany High School. The service started on Sept. 6, 1908 in the home of Mrs. A. Hiney. The First B. C. of Albany was build [sic] in 1908." Note on Church history: The second location of the First Baptist Church was where the Albany Pool is now. [i.e. Portland east of Key Route Blvd.] The School Board owned property at Solano & Pomona. They exchanged this property for the First Baptist Church property on Portland in 1948 and built the Albany Pool. The First Baptist Church built their existing church at Solano and Pomona.
