Beatrice Howitt, S.H. and Alice Oge are pictured at the San Rafael Canal in Marin County, California. The canal was a popular place to swim and socialize. Alice Oge was the sister of Marie, who was married to Truxtun Beale. Beatrice Howitt was the daughter of Dr. Henry O. Howitt, a prominent San Rafael doctor. The photograph is from the Howitt family photograph album.
