Description
Second daughter of Wakamatsu Umetaro, colony pioneer. The Wakamatsu party was probably the first organized immigrant-colony arriving in El Dorado county, June 8, 1869. The site of the Wakamatsu Tea and Silk Farm Colony has been designated a California Registered Historical Landmark (No. 815).
