Description
Accession number: P1516 Image shows front facade of the single-story brick building, with square bell tower over entrance; Serving briefly (1961-62) as a U.S. Marine Corps. recruiting station, this structure at 630 North Los Angeles Street (now Anaheim Blvd.) was built in 1926 for the People's Church (renamed Wesley Methodist Episcopal Church South in 1930), a portion of the congregation of the White Temple Methodist Episcopal Church after it divided; in 1959 the Wesley Church built a new building on East Romneya and changed its name from Wesley to East Anaheim Methodist; in circa 1963 the building served as a facility for the Anaheim Parks & Recreation Dept.; in 2003 Great Light Korean Methodist Church was using the building.
