Description
A view looking through the Brand Library's porte cochere. The entrance gate and tree-lined driveway are visible. The porte cochere has scalloped arched openings, originally intended for the passage of carriages or vehicles. There is a cusped ogee arch, which opens to the porte-cochere. Attached Corinthian pilasters frame the abutments. A staircase leads from the porte cochere to the main entrance of the Brand Library, Leslie C. Brand's former home, El Miradero. ""Brand Library, vista through east gate 1962"" --Handwritten caption on verso. Title supplied by cataloger.
