Title from container. From the Joseph R. Knowland collection at the Oakland History Room, Oakland Public Library. The oak tree depicted was in front of the residence of Mayor Andrew Williams, the childhood home of author Bret Harte, his stepson. The image is part of the Moses Chase Album, formerly in the possession of the Oakland Tribune. Number in collection : 9.
