Description
Postcard of the Naval Air Station at Moffett Field showing the Airship Macon at its mooring. The Macon was based at Moffett Field from October 1933 until it crashed at sea on February 11, 1935. Behind the Macon is the white landing circle. In the front of the Macon is the giant hangar where the Macon was housed between flights. To the rear of the postcard is the southern end of San Francisco Bay.
