Description
Harper Fruit Company orange pickers in an orange grove, Orange, California, ca. 1910. Image shows group of 13 men holding large sacks of oranges, gathered around wooden crates of oranges with "HARPER / FRUIT" stenciled on the end panels. The Harper Fruit Company, located by the railroad tracks on West Chapman Avenue in Orange, was founded by George S. Harper in 1906 and operated by him until 1917.
