Description
Women's Club building ground breaking ceremony, built at 121 South Center Street, Orange, California, May 1924. Image shows four figures, three identified as Florence Smiley, Frank Ainsworth, and Ethel Jackson, with hands on shovel before a crowd of on-lookers in background. Built in 1924 at a cost of $24,000, the building became the first home of the Women's Club, formed by Mrs. I. Lea Collins in 1915.
