Description
Black and white photograph showing the delivery of the live Mission Viejo community Christmas tree in 1983. The tree was planted on the Northeast corner of Chrisanta and La Paz. The photograph shows the tree in a wooden planter being hoisted off of a flatbed truck with a crane. There are two men at the base of the tree; they seem to be attempting to guide the tree. There are also two men standing in the background, one is holding a shovel; they appear to be waiting for the tree to be placed. Taped to the back of the photograph is a press release stating, "For immediate release: The arrival and planting of the 32-foot Christmas tree in Mission Viejo marked the beginning of the 1983 holiday season for the community," with "Mission Viejo Company" on the top left of it. The release is dated November 21, 1983. Also affixed to the back of the photograph is a sticker that reads, "The Association Inc., (714) 645-3840" and states the job number and neg/roll number.
